A three-day experiential activation that utilized our event registration and check-in system, along with a robust RFID integration woven throughout the footprint.
With the final season of Game of Thrones fast approaching, HBO wanted to drive excitement with fans through a highly-immersive experience at SXSW 2019 that asked fans whether they’d be willing to “bleed for the throne” by donating blood to the Red Cross. Working hand in hand with Giant Spoon, we created a seamless registration experience for the three-day activation, allowing hundreds of fans to enter and interact with the show’s world.
After registering with our live event check-in tool, attendees received a specially-designed RFID bracelet. With the flick of a wrist, guests could then grab food and drinks at various points throughout the experience. The RFID bracelets also recognized when attendees entered a specific area, where the "Red Priestess" would recite their names and invite them to give blood, much to the guests’ surprise and delight.
